Life-changing and fun – visiting Europe, meeting new friends, and developing your dance practice as you take a hip-hop dance performance on tour. If you’re 18-25, live, work or study in NE Lincs and want to experience all these things then listen up.
Eight young people from the town will have the chance to work with, industry professionals and up to 100 others of the same age from right across Europe – using a hip-hop street theatre performance to unite their cultures and promote theatre and the arts.
If you’re one of the successful eight, you will work with professionals and another group to prepare a performance at a festival in Sibiu, Romania in August. The next step will be to host the group from Alytus, Lithuania to prepare a performance at a new Grimsby festival in September.
Alongside that, you’ll join the others from 14 European countries, getting ready for a large-scale ‘finale’ in Freiburg, Germany, in 2022. There will then be European tours in the summers of 2023 and 2024 with visits to Denmark, Romania, Croatia, Lithuania, Latvia, Spain, Portugal and the Czech Republic, and back to Grimsby.
